+
+This initial extraction retains the existing GPL-3.0-only licence and credits
+Cole Speelman / Gamertan's Sized scanner. Repository privacy does not change
+the source licence. No new licensing or contributor agreement is introduced.
+
+- `src/scan.rs`: byte-identical to Sized at
+  `9fd4e905b00ad23cea06bfaa1cc6a9608032266c` on `sizequeen-scan-hardening`.
+  Scanner behaviour was introduced in `8b177e2`; `988aad9` changed one Display
+  format string without changing behaviour.
+  SHA-256: `a134f8f40bd0994f6ea332325e2b43ff47d558c42106135a951f2f8aa46be4ce`.
+- `src/lib.rs`: byte-identical to SizeQueen's included core at
+  `e17ef84` on `experiment/macos-native`, preserving its public re-exports and
+  legacy `build_tree` compatibility helper.
+- `tests/scanning.rs`: copied unchanged from Sized. SHA-256:
+  `5fdb6ff3197aa24ceb2699f5787298b00ede69a87af07d7ca4fbdb911125a292`.
+- `tests/linux_mount.rs`: Sized's real-mount regression adapted to test the
+  library independently; the original Sized test also checks CLI JSON output.
+- Linux check scripts and pinned runtime: adapted from the checked Sized branch,
+  replacing the CLI smoke with a release-built library example.

+SizeQueen's older scanner snapshot differs only in the equivalent Display
+format string. It remains unchanged until a deliberate consumer migration.
