# 📄 Contributor License Agreement (CLA)
You can use this **as-is**. It is intentionally plain and strong.

## Contributor License Agreement
By contributing to this project (“Project”), you (“Contributor”) agree to the following terms:
### 1. Grant of Copyright License
You hereby grant to the Project Maintainer a **perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license** to use, reproduce, modify, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, and otherwise exploit your contributions, in whole or in part, in any form and for any purpose.
This includes, but is not limited to, the right to **relicense the Project or your contributions under any license**, including proprietary or commercial licenses.

### 2. Grant of Patent License
You hereby grant to the Project Maintainer a **perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free patent license** to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer your contributions, where such license applies to any patent claims you own or control that are necessarily infringed by your contribution.

### 3. Ownership
You retain ownership of your contributions. This Agreement does **not** transfer copyright ownership to the Project Maintainer.

### 4. Original Work or Right to Contribute
You represent that:
* Your contributions are your original work, **or**
* You have the legal right to submit them under these terms.
You agree not to submit contributions that are encumbered by incompatible licenses, employment agreements, or other legal restrictions.

### 5. No Obligation to Accept Contributions
The Project Maintainer is under **no obligation** to accept, merge, or distribute any contributions.

### 6. No Warranty
Your contributions are provided **“as is”**, without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

### 7. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of **Canada**, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

By submitting a contribution (including code, documentation, or other materials), you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms of this Contributor License Agreement.
